Adnan Tunç Kayalar was born in Bursa in 1953 and graduated from TED Ankara College in 1971. Between 1974 and 1978, he completed his Bachelor’s degree in Economics at the City of Birmingham Polytechnic (United Kingdom).

From 1978 to 2001, he worked in Turkey’s textile sector, where he was responsible for coordinating nationwide wholesale and retail operations.

Starting in 2002, Kayalar held full-time managerial positions in the Turkish operations of IMC International (UK) and later WYG International (UK), both consulting firms specializing in international project management. He served as a senior manager in various EU- and World Bank-funded projects, focusing on project and recruitment management as well as the identification and evaluation of potential experts for technical and social development projects.

Since 2017, he has been working as a freelance senior advisor on projects related to environmental protection, climate change, civil society and human rights, private sector development, employment and human development, and migration-related challenges.

Adnan Tunç Kayalar is a member of the Turkish Education Association (TED) and the TED Ankara College Alumni Association.
